About the Speakers
Angelica Portillo is a dedicated advocate for the Out-of-School Time Field, formerly serving as the inaugural Director of Advocacy and Workforce Initiatives at the National AfterSchool Association. With a strong background in expanding access to afterschool programs, Angelica has made a significant impact on job quality for afterschool professionals nationwide. Her contributions were recognized in 2018 when she received the Next Generation of Afterschool Leaders Award.
Daniel Hatcher is the Senior Director of Strategic Partnerships at the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. Since 2008, he has led efforts to establish national standards for healthy eating and physical activity in afterschool programs. A nationally recognized facilitator, Daniel has spoken at conferences across 40 states and Canada. He holds a BA in International Relations and a Master of Public Health, and is certified in both Mental Health First Aid and Nature and Forest Therapy.
