African Diasporic Arts Enrichment and Youth Ensembles

BUMP resources African diasporic music and art as a liberatory practice for social-emotional wellness, creative autonomy, and joy for BIPOC youth ages 6-18. We connect and model for youth the power of music and art to locate stories, protect community, and create what they wish to see for themselves and their communities. BUMP cultivates, advocates, and partners with others to support and protect accessible, safe, welcoming, creative, and culturally affirming learning spaces for youth to exercise liberatory and healing practices through artistic expression.

Entertainment Related Programs

Pros in Training provides opportunities and experiences for youth ages 14-22 to level up their knowledge and skills in entertainment related careers. Program modules are an extension of the school day and are led by industry professionals at the top of their game. Through these sessions, our Future Pros learn by doing which gives them a competitive edge when entering the workforce or industry. A direct line of access for professionals affords our Future Pros an opportunity to job shadow, intern and make informed decisions about their FUTURE!

Our structured programming provides Explorers with a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day operations of the Detroit Police Department, fostering skill development and a deep understanding of the law enforcement field.

A Social Settlement House

@TheHouse, Inc. provides the Arlington, Baltimore community with a range of resources to nurture youth, strengthen families, and engage senior citizens, with the goal of supporting achievement, self-sufficiency, and positivity — individually and collectively. @The House Inc. has operated an inclusive 5-week/5-day Golf-inspired summer experience since 2019 in the Park Heights community called G.O.L.F. (Goals, Opportunities, Leadership, and Fun) for ages 6-13 years old. They offer art classes, literacy support, self-worth sessions, and several field trips like swimming, movies, Washington Zoo, and the great trip to Six Flags.
