About Yolanda Scott

Yolanda Scott is a strategist and facilitator with over 20 years of experience designing and leading initiatives that connect people to opportunity across workforce, education, and community systems.

Her work supports both youth and adults in accessing real-world pathways to meaningful work, economic mobility, and long-term success. She is the founder of Loom, an organization committed to building sustainable, equity-centered solutions that strengthen communities, expand access, and drive generational change.

Yolanda is known for bridging systems and sectors to create practical, people-first strategies that move vision into action.

About Torris Ferguson

Torris Ferguson is a workforce development professional with over 10 years of experience supporting out-of-school youth, in-school youth, adults, and dislocated workers through employment and training programs. His background includes roles such as WIOA Project Director and Workforce Development Specialist, where he oversaw career planning, employer engagement, and program compliance.

He has successfully built partnerships with local businesses, facilitated work experiences across populations, and managed grant-funded initiatives to improve employment outcomes. Torris is passionate about creating equitable career pathways for underserved populations and is committed to driving impactful change through strategic programming.

Prior to his work in workforce development, Torris served in the higher education industry for 15 years, holding roles such as Campus President, Campus Director, and Instructor in Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia, Louisiana, and Texas. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his five sons, wife, daughter-in-law, and granddaughter. His hobbies include traveling, watching action and sci-fi movies, fishing, exercising, cooking (especially smoking meats), and playing with his two miniature schnauzers.

About Sheena Judie-Mitchell

A proud native of Las Vegas, Nevada, Sheena Judie-Mitchell has been shaped by her loving parents, who instilled in her the values of resilience, kindness, courage, and leadership. She is a woman of faith, guided by the belief that serving others is a divine calling. She holds a Master’s in Public Policy and is pursuing her Doctorate in Public Policy to disrupt systemic barriers that inhibit equity and justice. She is a proud mother of four outstanding adult children and grandmother of seven.

Throughout her career, she has made a significant impact by creating a curriculum that bridges the gap between law enforcement and communities, fostering positive relationships and understanding, and creating safer environments. Additionally, she has developed comprehensive workforce and small business initiatives to empower individuals and businesses by addressing their holistic needs. These initiatives have transformed the lives of hundreds of young and older adults and small business owners. She has conducted over 100 hours of leadership and organizational development training for businesses and organizations, witnessing transformative changes in multiple participants. As a visionary leader, she takes immense pride in seeing the success of others flourish through her guidance and strategic insights.

An elite program manager and fervent advocate for youth development, she has spearheaded numerous initiatives for the City of Las Vegas, focusing on equipping young people with the skills and resources necessary to be successful. Her commitment to transformative change is anchored in her belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive. She is a profound servant leader whose motto is “people first, mission always.”
